MARANOX TECHNOLOGIES LIMITED ("MaraNox", "we", "us", "our") is the data controller for personal data processed via this website (maranoxtechnologies.ie).

2. Scope of this notice

This notice covers personal data processed by the public-facing website at maranoxtechnologies.ie. It does not cover personal data processed by our individual products (Stopwise, Fair Shout, Calving Watch, Maranox Marine), each of which has its own privacy notice published separately.

3. What data we process on this website

Information you give us by emailing us

If you contact us at [email protected], [email protected], or any other @maranox.ie address, we will receive your email address and whatever you write in your message. We use this only to respond to your enquiry.

Server-level technical data (logs)

The website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare automatically records technical data about each request — including IP address, browser user-agent, referring URL, and timestamp — for security purposes (DDoS protection, rate-limiting, fraud prevention). These logs are processed by Cloudflare under their standard data protection terms and are retained for a short period before being aggregated and discarded.

Cookies and similar technologies

This website does not set any first-party cookies and does not run any analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts.

Cloudflare may set strictly necessary technical cookies to operate the website and protect it from abuse. These are exempt from consent requirements under Regulation 5(5) of S.I. 336/2011 (the ePrivacy Regulations).

Web fonts

The website loads typography from Bunny Fonts, a privacy-focused open-source web font CDN that does not log IP addresses or set tracking cookies. No data about you is shared with third-party advertising networks as a result of viewing this website.

4. Legal basis for processing

• Email correspondence with you: our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), or your consent / steps prior to entering a contract where applicable.
• Server logs and security data: our legitimate interests in operating and securing the website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

5. Sharing your data

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with third parties for marketing purposes. We share data only with:

• Cloudflare, Inc. — our hosting and DDoS-protection provider, processing technical request logs as data processor.
• Google LLC — if you correspond with us via @maranox.ie, the email is delivered through Google Workspace, our email provider.
• Authorities — where required by law or court order.

6. International transfers

Cloudflare and Google may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Both providers self-certify under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework adopted by Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2023/1795, providing an adequate level of protection for transferred personal data.

7. Retention

We retain email correspondence for as long as is reasonably needed to deal with the enquiry plus our standard internal record-keeping period. Cloudflare retains technical request logs for short operational periods (typically 24–72 hours for raw logs, longer only in aggregate form).

8. Your rights

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation and the Irish Data Protection Act 2018, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you;
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data;
• Request erasure ("right to be forgotten") in defined circumstances;
• Restrict or object to certain processing;
• Receive your data in a portable format;
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
• Lodge a complaint with the Irish Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).

9. Automated decision-making

We do not use this website to make decisions about you using automated processing, including profiling. Decisions about how to respond to your correspondence are made by a human at MaraNox.
